A Florida man, 65-year-old Steven Grossman, is believed to have attempted to kill his wife, 58-year-old Kimberly King-Judd, at their Seminole house. The woman narrowly survived a shooting to her head, and Grossman took his own life before police arrived.
Upon arrival, deputies found King-Judd at her neighbor’s residence. They learned from her that Grossman had shot her, but she managed to escape with a graze wound to the back of her head. The man was still at their residence, armed with a firearm.
Multiple attempts to communicate with Grossman from an armored vehicle failed, and he wouldn’t exit the residence. Eventually, deputies entered the house and found Grossman in the living room. He had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead after being transported to a local hospital.

She gets everything, but I guess he gets out of having to pay alimony.

I'm a firm believer if you are planning a murder-suicide, do the suicide first.
It limits the grief.
It limits the grief.

That would be one hell of a setup if she shot him first, then popped one to just graze across her skull to make it look real.
This report doesn't add up

quote:Agreed. If the one doing the suicide just has to leave a mark before killing themselves, take a shite on the hood of the other person's car or something of that nature. No need for the murder before suicide.

That’s great advice, actually.

Man I worked with got served divorce papers the day he brought family home from vacation. Talk about a kick in the nuts.

Agree 100%.

I wonder if he did it because she refused to take his last name.
Either way, the murderous a-hole is dead and his (ex-)wife survived. So all in all, a story with a happy ending.

They may have trouble getting him to exit the residence if he's already dead and...ya know...can't respond

Can you imagine this? You go on vacation, your wife is there with you and pretends nothing is wrong. You're having a good time, seeing things, relaxing, probably having fun with the wife too
All the time she has done everything necessary to bring it to this level and get him served

Maybe. Or maybe the vacation was a last-ditch effort to repair something that they both knew was already gone.
I know they happen, but I’m always skeptical of the “she just divorced me out of the blue” story. Most women take a loooong time to get there.

Good. Wanna knock yourself off? Do it. But don’t take another.
