so the standard turbo 4 has same HP and a little better TQ compared to current 3.5 v6

It looks exactly like the Tundra. What are you seeing that I'm not? The Tundra took a step back in my opinion. I like a few of them that I see on the road, but most look ugly AF. And the price tag is absolutely crazy. I bought a 2017 1794 for $46,000 brand new, a 2023 1794 will cost you $80,000 if you're lucky.

That's the only thing I don't like about it.
I'm in a 2012 Tacoma 4x4 now with 220K miles so I'm starting to think about a new truck. The new one is on my list, but dammit why did they have to go with the 4 banger turbo???
My gut tells me those engines are not going to last.

Why Toyota continues to maintain these differences between the Tacoma and Tundra is mind boggling.
Tacoma: you get the black headliner, they delete the corny camo pattern on interior and fender flares, better looking grill in line with Sequoia, but you don’t get a pano sunroof
Tundra: terrible grill, cheesy aforementioned camo pattern, no option for black headliner

Every Sienna and Camry hybrid cab in Chicago gets beat to shite with well over 300,000 miles before they retire them. I would take cabs almost every day for something or the other for a year, and only one of them caught on fire.
The hybrid powertrains Toyota makes are extremely reliable. They may not be a simple or as cheap to work on, as they age, but they have as much life in them as the gas engines they are mated to.

I agree with this. If Toyota had used the front end from Sequoia on Tundra, they would probably sell more. It's not terrible, but it doesn't look as good as the sequoia or Tacoma.
