It’s been a very long time since Toyota has introduced an all-new Tacoma. At a special sneak preview on the big island of Hawaii, Toyota offered up a first look at the all-new (and it really is all-new) 2024 Tacoma. Here’s your first look at TRD Pro, Limited, SR5 Sport and the new Trailhunter for those looking to overland. It will be available with two powertrains including the i-Force MAX hybrid. And Toyota has heard your requests for a better seating position. Sheldon Brown, the chief engineer offers up tons of information on what changes, and just as important, what doesn’t.

326hp/465tq is huge with the hybrid.

Might even get the hybrid tax credit? I have friends that got 3500-5000 tax credit on hybrid SUVs.

They offer it in a manual. That's cool.

Fuel mileage is still probably 16 on the highway.

For a small truck, I'd consider it, but I use a half ton often enough to justify it and need a 3/4 at times so I'm out on a small truck.

Been posted, but it's going to continue to be a top seller. It's what the Tundra should have looked like.

Hawaii has to have the largest percentage of Tacos compared to all the vehicles of any place in the US. They are everywhere on all the islands. My wife once ask a native why there were so many Tacomas and he replied because they have that FE engine which stands for it runs For Ever.

BTW useless trivia inbound, FE is not a Toyota engine class. If it is at the end of the engine designation it means it has a block with a narrow-angle valve/overhead cams (the F) and electronic fuel injection (the E)

Also a look at the new 4runner and GX... Although I'd like to think they will offer the V6-TT out of the Trundra as an option.

A nicely optioned Tacoma TRD PRO will be near $70k.

I literally don’t how they are still made to this day.

It's easy to spot the 16 year old in the thread. They have to use this word in every sentence, when it doesn't apply.
