Fell into a rabbit hole regarding the Gifted and Talented programs in elementary school

There's a conspiracy theory that the Gifted and Talented programs in the 80s, 90s and early 2000s were not meant to provide advanced education, but were actually covert CIA or government screening and conditioning projects designed to identify children with latent psychic abilities, high-level pattern recognition, or remote-viewing potential.
People who were in these programs note that they all have a freckle on their left arm, and some sort of scar or divot on their forehead, and claim that they have repressed memories from the testing
The freckle is from some sort of injection, likely a tracking device.
The forehead scar is from a medical intervention that's tied to erasing memories, or maybe sensory testing.
The theories often surface as former students piece together fragmented childhood memories. Proponents of the theory typically point to several shared experiences:
-They remember being give a mysterious Pink Drink during testing that they believe was some sort of drug
- They report taking unusual exams involving headphones with clanking audio, Zener cards, mirror-drawing, and ESP experiments
- They do not remember the actual curriculum or daily activities of their GATE classes. Claiming that their memories were altered or erased.
- They recall mysterious adults in suits quietly observing the classrooms without ever speaking, or being taken on unrecorded field trips with covered windows.
Here's a quick clip about it
I was in a type of gifted and talented program in elementary school. And I do remember some of these things.
I checked last night, and I have the arm freckle and a scar on my head that has been there as long as I can remember

Anna Mills, known online as @annamillsxo23, helped renew interest in a previously-floated conspiracy theory by posting several videos to social media sharing the worksheets and assignments she was given when she was young — leaving many of her followers with questions.
In one TikTok clip, Mills flipped through a binder of her classwork and showed off some of the assignments she was given as a child in the 90s.
"The stuff I found in there — I'm like, what were you training us for?" Mills questioned in a TikTok video.
Then, as now, students across the country who demonstrate high cognitive abilities and pass a series of tests are taught separate lessons which do not fall into the standard curriculum.
Many of the worksheets Mills shared dealt with cracking codes, plotting graphs — as well as learning sign language, Morse code and Russian.
Nearly all of the lessons were focused on creative problem-solving. A surprising number mentioned aliens or Russian culture.
This has led some to claim that the public school program was connected to the CIA's Gateway Program.
The federal program was developed in the 1980s to instruct and train people "in the art of switching perceptual modes, the art of becoming more conscious of one's particular inner resources, inner abilities and most of all, of one's inner guidance."
It was used to explore the limitations of human consciousness using sound, meditation and other techniques.

I also have a freckle on my arm and a scar on my forehead. I don't remember where they came from. Did they mention anything about doing the tests on semi-retarded kids?

This level technology existed in 1980s?
Because those tracking devices would be pretty easy to see these days and would need a lot of people in on the conspiracy to keep it under wraps.

I was in the gifted program starting in kindergarten and don't recall anything like this. I guess they identified early that I don't have latent psychic abilities

I went to school before TAG was a thing. I still have the freckle

I've been meaning to watch it, but didn't want to sign up for MGM+ just for it. May give it a shot and just set a reminder to cancel the subscription after finishing it
