Looking around on some sites I see some offer lodging. Did you do anything like that or had your own lodging and drove there for the day? Thanks for the places you provided.
Montana or Colorado Fly Fishing Trip
Posted by DownSouthTiger on 1/9/26 at 11:21 am
I never have done any fly fishing in the Mountain areas and looking at flights which are fairly cheap I was thinking about getting some information on a guided trip plus maybe some ATV trail riding, rafting during July. Has anybody been and have some ideas at websites or guides to look at to plan the trip. Any advice on the trip at all? We fish alot but not much fly fishing experience at all.
re: Border Patrol shot 2 in Portland yesterday, but no riots/news. Portland uncaring?

It takes a day or 2 to sign up paid protesters then they need to travel. They already have all the paid ones in Minnesota.
re: The soaring price of youth sports: $50 to try out, $3,000 to play

I am in exact same boat. I swore no way we play travel baseball and like you said we ended up doing it. I totally understand not even being able to play catch with half of his team.

re: Anyone have a glass eye or have intimate knowledge of someone who does?
Posted by DownSouthTiger on 12/12/25 at 11:32 am to Turnblad85
One of my favorite childhood memories was my Great Grandfather's glass eye starting to fall out at Christmas probably 30 years ago as he was stirring the Christmas Gumbo. My aunt noticed and made a dive just in time to knock it off its path for the gumbo and it hit off the rim of pot and onto the floor. She just barely saved our meal.
re: Wild thing about these Venezuelan drug boats-they keep sending them out to sea

I have a question though. There is all the Democratic outrage in the media as we blow up the boats. But does Venezuela actually complain? I at least don't hear much about that?

When I took it I didn't know it had the side effect of you ejaculating basically air. Nothing comes out I had to Google I figured I had some tumor or something and would be dying soon. I got off that stuff it was a strange feeling.

I paid $650 this past season to mount one.
re: Do you still cut your own grass or do you hire it out?
Posted by DownSouthTiger on 11/5/25 at 8:29 pm to white beans
I have a side job in lawn care. I have 18 yards and turn down work all the time. Plenty people don't cut their own grass.
re: Observations about the videos of No Kings protest
Posted by DownSouthTiger on 10/20/25 at 12:07 pm to armtackledawg
I have a lawncare business and cut grass for an older guy whom is openly gay and very liberal. He had a successful career and is retired now but when I cut his lawn we talk about politics and things like that. We are able to have a sensible conversation knowing each other has a huge difference of opinion and I find his viewpoint interesting that he sees the world in such a different view from me. But anyway he went to one of the No Kings rallies and he said he hated it because "it wasn't anything besides a bunch of old, angry, disgruntled lesbians" lol.
re: Anyone fished Disneyworld property? Taking a guide.Updated, Had a great time.
Posted by DownSouthTiger on 10/14/25 at 11:27 am to SmackDaniels
When we were there last year for Christmas toward the front left of Epcot in the lake there was an area we were walking over a bridge and there were about dozen bass I could see. None looked smaller than 4 pounds to me with several looking quite a bit bigger and it looked like they were on beds. I am going back this year around the same time anybody want to share roughly what the cost is?

Sometimes I wonder if it is the gafftop catfish explosion. You can barely even fish in some places and they are way into freshwater too. I have never seen so many along with sharks.

re: Southwest boarding has gotten terrible since they started charging for checked bags

Any reward card holder can still check a bag for free. I think at booking allows you to do it for up to 8 people with you.

I was looking at a trip over Christmas also for skiing if not this year maybe next. Is skiing good this time of year or is this a trip that should be planned more January or February?
