Feel Good Story? 75yo Shoots Neighbors Who Kept Dumping Dog Poop and Diapers On His Patio

'In 2013, a 75-year-old Texas man named Chung Kim had endured months of hell from his upstairs neighbors.
They kept dumping their dog’s feces and urine off the balcony, letting it drip right onto his patio below - despite his repeated complaints that were completely ignored. Later, the couple also began tossing dirty diapers onto his balcony.
Despite multiple complaints to the police, the City of Dallas, and the homeowners association, the issues continued. One morning, after stepping in fresh dog s**t again, Kim finally snapped. He grabbed a gun and shot and killed his 31-year-old female neighbor on her balcony. Kim then went upstairs and fatally shot her boyfriend as he tried to run.
Kim claimed the shooting was in self-defense and that he blacked out during parts of it.
The jury convicted him of capital murder. Life in prison, no parole.'
Feel good story up until the life sentence. Not guilty.

This feels like some social media exaggeration. This is his appeal from 2015: LINK

Dispute is about dog feces “washing down the balcony and windows”, which implies that the upstairs idiots were letting their dog shite all over the balcony and not clean it up, but not that they were intentionally throwing it on his balcony. The appeal also describes a pretty cold, sociopathic sounding double homicide.
Everyone in this scenario sucks, and no one should be celebrated.

There’s no difference in people leaving shite on their balcony that happens to wash down and people throwing shite (and dirty diapers) onto the lower balcony intentionally?
