The poor kid never had a chance. Her father is a piece of shite.

We have normalized obesity in this country.

She's publicly humiliated now. Before it was just an embarrassing day a few people saw. Great job parents.

If the other amusement park did this to that obese boy last year instead of letting him ride, he’d still be alive. Good on this water park for enforcing their own safety rules.
Safey over feelings.

Mary Simonds Savage I understand where you're coming from, but at the same time, the children that have also had to walk through that line and be humiliated will look at her as hero for standing up for them, and the future children that could have been humiliated.

i assume its a kids ride.
the article made it sound like the entire family (including Dad) went to the top to ride it.
and watching the vid in link, the is NO WAY dad is under 250.
so unless he also had to step on the scale, there is some bullshite with his story.

Any park I've been too that weighed for a ride had it so that the attendant was the only person that could see the number. Nothing embarrassing about it.
The fat outnumber the thin. If anything, the people on the ground watching her descend would be jeering her believing she was "chicken". Good times.

So your 13 year old is a fat a** and you want to blame others for your lack of parenting.

There are people in this thread who bitch about fat acceptance but will tell you they'd look like a cancer patient below 190lbs

dude said the place should communicate the rule as if people would follow it.

A 200lb weight limit on a ride at an American amusement park seems like bad bidness. You're cutting out a third or more of your potential customers before you even open the gates.
A 205 pound 13 year old and a 205 pound adult male have VERY different body types and the physics of the slide will effect them very differently
It’s also possible that this is a kids only slide with a hard and fast weight limit.

The ride has a limit for safety reasons. Pandering to those who don’t belong on it causes accidents like the kid who died on that ride.
Don’t like it? Stop being fat

For reference, this 14 year is listed at 6’1” 295

I doubt it. Mingo is gonna be pissed if he can't ride because he's 5'2" 201 cause he was bloated from eating too many kumquats one day.

I believe it’s spelled cumquats when Mingo eats them.

Are they are suppose to let her slide and then be held more liable?
Reminds me of the guy who slipped out the ride I believe in Florida?

Maybe the family is trying to get her big enough to get a scholarship to Mississippi state as a nose tackle?
