a lot of 13 year old girls are pretty much damn near full grown.

Okay, creepy.

i would say that there needs to be severe discreet procedures in place for situations like this.

Found the fatty.

There's nothing "discreet" about waddling around a waterpark in your swimsuit in the first place.

a 13 year old girl shouldn't be told to step in front of a scale in front of strangers unannounced without any weight signage warning of possible issue. Go frick your fat shaming self.

The parents should have helped her through the humiliation by using it as a family come-to-Jesus moment, reinforcing the reality of obesity to the child, and assist her in weight loss so she can use the slide safely and enjoy a life of participation. But no, they blame the safety limitations and threaten the park. This poor kid has no chance to be an accountable, productive adult.

Sounds like a lot of work, let me refill my big gulp go sit on my sofa and complain about it on my public fb page to get likes, comments, and a news story

Carnies aren't gonna understand or care what fat shaming. People are shitty, they're rude, we have bad days, we got embarrassed. shite fricking happens and life is far from perfect. That's what everyone needs to learn because calling the paper and raising hell over hurt feelings every time someone is rude isn't going to make anything better. This world is not heaven. It's not going to be. We can't force it to be or we'll make it worse and everyone will be more miserable. Life sucks and shite happens. Please tell your kids.

Interestingly, in another article there is a picture of a couple large and in charge folks exiting the slide...
Another article about the Mississippi Monster

I have seen tube rides with 250lb weight limits for single, 400lb limits for double. Makes me wonder if they couldn't swing a double, either. HMMM.

Those are great but this is a park policy issue that was poorly implemented and designed. The employee was evidently upset having to do this to people and had to turn away people all day. If you can't make a fricking sign at the bottom of a ride, then the ride shouldn't be open.

What a 13 year old is wearing or not wearing no matter the size of the girl is none of your concern or issue at hand.

you frickers know good and damn well an amusement park ride with a 200lb weight limit is a terrible fricking idea in this country

The article states that the ride is new and the 200 lb weight limit is temporary until replacement tubes are installed. If anything, the park should shut down the ride until it can safely carry the average Mississippi resident/Honda civic it was designed to hold.

In related news, Deion Sanders has offered the girl a full ride to Jackson State as a pulling guard.

I don't know if there was or wasn't a sign, but if you think any of these entitled fat fricks would recognize and consider it, I got something for ya.

She's publicly humiliated now. Before it was just an embarrassing day a few people saw. Great job parents.

A few people that she would probably never have seen again in her entire lifetime. Now, pretty much the entire internet knows.

e ride recently. The park could have been a little more discreet, but they probably would have complained about being shuttled off across the park to get weighed too.

What? Did they not realize this before?
