yep, i quit when the chicks stopped posting bikini pics and started posting pics of their babies....and when my mom got on.
it's been several years now. TD is my only form of online communication, and that's basically just so i can waste time at work.

I started a FB account in like 07...I quickly realized that a bunch of sloots from HS that I didn't want to have anything to do with could suddenly find me....no thanks...deactivated after about 2 weeks and it has been deactivated ever since...FB is the fricking devil...it ruins relationships and is stupid really...TD and LinkedIn are the only social media im apart of...one is anonymous and one is for work...I do creep the IG frequently though...but don't have an account....that's simply for looking at stuff like this....

I found it hilarious that a guy I'm friends with was bitching about people around the election posting about politics and threatened to unfriend anyone who posted about politics.....checking Facebook he's bitching about politics.

(FB has killed class reunions for that very reason.) I certainly don't care about the mundane details about people's kids or how much they love Jesus. Most of the people I used to commiserate with have drifted away. I am basically left with a screen littered with the sad lives of a bunch of people I couldn't give two shits about. Anybody else just walk away from it?

I'm amazed how a smart man like you(even a westbank guy) can't figure out how to fcking delete people that you don't want to see bullshite from.
When I first got on it I accepted all of the old high school friend request. Didn't take long for me to figure out who the drama queens and the redneck retards were.
If you are spamming my feed with non stop politics, religion, trying to sell crap, or just being annoying, your arse is deleted. That goes for family.
I now enjoy seeing what my friends and family as well as some small groups like to share.

Facebook was ruined when they started showing all these posts in News Feed from people/pages you don't know or follow....but your FB friend commented/liked a post from a complete stranger to you, so it shows up in your feed. 80% of the posts that show up in my feed are from people/pages that I'm not friends with or that I don't follow.

I support the OP. Every couple months when I'm really bored I'll open my FB app and it's mostly insecure people saying how great their lives are, or posting cringey messages to their spouses for everyone to see. It's really become a cesspool.
