If Dardenne does take over, I wonder if faculty will start leaving in droves again.
F King was somewhat popular with faculty now have a politician taking over.
Jindal absolutely gutted LSU and its tough sledding to build it back up. Although LSU needs to do a lot better job with the budget and cutting costs where needed.

ULM/NLU is going anywhere as they are currently building a medical school (Osteopathic) which will admit its first class next year.
All the universities are politically sacred cows. No one is going to shut them down. Merging Grambling and Southern .....maybe, but not without a shite storm.
