He was an arse to work for but he raised tens of millions of dollars fundraising and kicked off the campus building boom we are still seeing.

Just because he’s not a nice guy doesn’t mean he wasn’t good at what he did

This will probably be unpopular, for the most part, but there is absolutely no reason for Southeastern to be open. Force those students to decide between Baton Rouge and New Orleans for one of the other 4 schools (3 if you don't count SUNO).

Southeastern has proven to be a popular choice for students and is the fastest growing university in LA. Let the market drive decisions. SU, SUNO, Grambling, and UNO should be the first on the chopping block

OKeefe had as much to do with that as Obama had in killing Bin Laden

Southeastern still sits between the 2 largest cities in Louisiana and students could easily choose to go to either city for a 4-year education.

If you tried to close SU and Grambling, you'd have a shite storm from media and the political left.

There are only 2 public universities in New Orleans (UNO and SUNO) so you sure as hell can't shut down both universities in the state's largest city.

If I was cutting it down to 10 schools, it would be: LSU, ULL, UNO, McNeese, SU, Grambling, La Tech, LSUA, LSUS, Northwestern.

That would mean eliminating SUNO, SU-Shreveport, LSUE, Nicholls, Southeastern and ULM

It leaves 2 universities in the capital city, 1 in New Orleans (probably should have 2), 1 in southwest LA, 1 in northwest LA, 2 in northeast LA, 2 in the middle of the state and one in the middle of the southern part of the state.

That guy is an absolute con artist and it’s scary how he keeps slithering his way into top administrative positions at national universities.

Most academics (professors and professional students) don’t know the difference between their arse and a hole in the ground. They live in their liberal nerd bubble. And they damn sure don’t know anything about a college a thousand miles away just like you mentioned. The association of tenured professors is a bigger circle jerk than any fraternity system. They are insufferable.
