Let’s bring back outside recess for all of the kids first. Taking recess away from kids younger than high school age was a huge mistake. It basically conditions them to not be active.

Yes there should be far more recess and physical education.

We can’t even get food stamps limited to healthy foods. The people in charge don’t want to solve any problems. They want to help their donors make money.

My thoughts too. These little Millennials have been coddled too much.

This the most ignorant asinine take always brought up in these threads.

I would be skinny but healthy food is so expensive!!

Maybe just eat a small fast food meal with only one entree and a water instead of large sized with a coke and you'll drop weight. And it's cheaper.

chicken thighs, pork, rice, beans, and frozen vegetables are the only things the poors should be allowed to eat

MOAR drugs!

Seriously, why not call for school lunches that serve lean meat and veggies? And mandatory PE class for exercise

How about cut out the sugar and other processed crap. The solution is actually very easy, cheap, and doesn't require meds.

I guess they have to say this. But they also know that will never happen

Look, Ozempic changed my life for the better but I have diabetes and went from max doses of the most concentrated insulin on the market to barely needing any at all. My body never would cut off the hunger response, even with my blood sugar sky high and my stomach full, my cells didn't have glucose in them and they signaled to make me hungry.

I have lost some weight, but not a drastic amount. I'm still "overweight" but never obese. If I was in my "healthy" weight I would have to lose muscle and I would look sickly.

Taking these just to lose weight is dumb but to have a feeling I hadn't felt in years... of being satiated was life changing. Normal people have that mechanism when their cells are filled and they don't need the help, that is when it is mental.

There must be a bunch of fat, shitty parents downvoting the common sense in this thread

Outside of some seriously out there issues, a child being fat is the results of the parents.

I will say I don't have this. Left to my own devices I can eat two xl pizzas and still not feel full.

My 13 year old daughter is athletic and can eat anything she wants and never gains an ounce.

Best of all she drinks water 99% of the time.
