I know Orlando is not for everybody but I like Orlando because we have a lot of family friends there and I like that it’s easy to drive to Miami and Tampa.

The thought of living somewhere with less seasonal change than South Louisiana is depressing to me.

This is such a dumb, loser take. And a perfect depiction of why Louisiana never improves.

Only thing louisiana is good for is crawfish. Once they have texas crawfish farms...
Texas doesn't need crawfish farms. Have you ever been to Houston? Most of the select crawfish from Louisiana go straight to Texas distributors. Louisiana residents get the 2nd pickens aside from long term commercial contracts.

My cousin told me it could be worse, he had to drive back to Jackson, MS.

Tell your self whatever you’d like, but Madison, MS (which is a suburb of Jackson) is the nicest place I have ever lived. That includes 5 cities in Louisiana and Denver, Colorado.

If you can't see the wasted potential everytime you leave Louisiana and come back, you're definitely part of the problem.

I’ve only been to Madison once and it was nice. My dad’s side of the family lives in Brandon. I still rather live in Baton Rouge.

I'm in Woodmoor Colorado for the week. We fly back to Baton Rouge Tuesday. This area just north of Colorado Springs is Gods Country according the OT. And I have to agree there.

However, unlike some of y'all whiny faqqots, I always look forward to being back home after a vacation.

Actual view from my buddy's front yard today.

How curious

What do you do to “improve” LA?

No problem with this, but I live in God’s country aka the Northshore. Had to go to the south shore for a family event today and we’re glad to be back home. You definitely need to move if you dread going back home, life’s short and that’s no way to live baw. Unfortunately, we’re full here and closed until further notice.

I started lobbying to move when I realized we have outdoor vacations and do all kinds of things. (We do not vacation in the south) When we returned home all we did was sit inside in the ac and bitch about the heat outside. Our kids had already moved far north but we don't want to shovel snow either so we settled for the middle of the US.

Not to sure of the places north of I-10 as it runs more to the north in the panhandle. I’ve heard Niceville north of destin is nice. But so long as your aren’t directly on the beach you shouldn’t have to deal with beach traffic on a daily basis, especially in the panhandle.

Ever notice how many stickers are on the Welcome to Louisiana sign coming into the state from Mississippi.. iv’e seen them on other state line signs, but never as much as Louisiana.

Wonder why?

It’s especially noticeable if you fly into MSY from someplace up north during the summer. They open the planes door and the humidity and foul smell hit you and you’d swear you were in Haiti.

My family moved to Orlando from NOLA 40 years ago. Was one of the best decisions they made. We love it. Close to the Atlantic and gulf beaches, great schools and neighborhoods for the kids.

It’s the stretch of interstate from Slidell to Hammond. Northshore drivers are the worst in the world.

Yea the drivers suck for the most part, but that’s not even the issue

It’s the run down, abandoned buildings, the shitty roads, the fricked up signs, and TRASH EVERYWHERE.. like a few people said, New Orleans East is a shithole that legit looks like a third world country
It’s a fricking shame
