What’s the police report say? Don’t matter what he tells his insurance

Yeah I thought this too... but no it doesn’t work like this at all... I’ve witnessed it firsthand...unless you actually going to court or another more serious crime takes place... the police report is basically just to identify both parties...

It's literally this easy.

Subrogate*. It's just an old word that basically means to substitute.

And technically, your insurance subrogates your claim against a third party.

Oh, I’m sorry. I thought attorneys were evil and served no purpose. This is why they exist.

Try having an accident, they are at fault, and you both have same insurance and same agent.

Had this happen to 2 friends of mine. Agent put it in as both at fault, refused to budge. I told them to leave the agents and sue, they were being nice and accepted it.

Why do people refuse to call insurance companies during accidents? You’re paying for insurance. Let them do the work.

Your insurance isn’t going to double for making a fender bender claim. Now if you make 15 fender bender claims, that’s a little different.

Hahhahah, every damn time. Insurance companies never pay up. It doesn’t matter if it’s yours or theirs.

If you file a subrogation claim with your insurance company, they’ll collect (at most) 90% back from the other insurance company and it will still affect your premiums. You’ll get you deductible back though.

You can’t use your uninsured motorist policy to file a claim because the other driver has insurance.

Insurance is a scam but the scam is better than nothing.

Had a guy back into me at a gas station. I was smart enough to get a police report filled out. Called dudes insurance. They want to split it. They pay for his, I pay for mine. Called my insurance, told them the story with all info. Few days later received a call from his insurance to send them the estimate for repairs and they cut me a check.

It sucks, but have your insurance go after it. You will get the money back eventually.

If it's just property damage and you have collision coverage, let your insurer pay to repair and deal with it

It's costs no money up front for legal representation.

Contact an ambulance chaser and explain how your wife is now have pain in her neck and back from the collision and wait 9 months for them to settle.

you let your insurance company handle it. That's why you have insurance.

Wife had the same thing happen to her. Some Arab hit her and cop just wrote up involved parties.

Their insurance denied but Allstate covered the damages and will deal with his insurance company through an arbitrator. One day I hope to get my deductible back. Doubt it happens but Allstate days they are working on it.
