Y’all do know they voted no so that they can give them MORE than $5mil right?

How dumb is this take. Is that why all the black members voted yes?

Anyone know the name of the mediator that came up with this gem of a proposal?

I want to make sure to NEVER use that person.

I know this upset both SWB and Gravy's fat arse. Good that family deserves nothing.

This is misframed. It’s not because he resisted; it’s because he pulled a gun on police.

To be fair, the case against the City will still proceed and that carried a risk of a finding of liability against the City and an award larger than 5 million.

Legally, I don’t believe the City is liable for anything and this course of action was justifiable use of force.

That said, settlements aren’t about whose right and wrong, it’s about minimizing risk and exposure.

The fact that 6 voted for it is disgusting

Look at the photo for your answer...... That's how that crappy Metro council votes on EVERYTHING because it votes on the racial line. Metro council is half black, half white. That's why nothing ever gets done in this town.

Only thing that is sad is that the metro council was even considering awarding a dollar to his family. The family didn't care about Alton until they heard it could be a payday.

Honestly $500k is way more than they deserve either.

Imagine if your life insurance strategy being shot by police.

Like I said the other day, he is worth more to his kids dead than alive.

Didn't they get all kind of money from donations after he died?

Wouldn’t you think the C-P Council and our mayor would listen to their attorneys?

Somewhere the Gravy Signal just lit up (hint: it looks a lot like the Golden Corral sign). Outrage soon to follow.
