re: EBR COA Spent $12,000 on conference in Chicago with 5,000 seniors on wait list

A first class ticket from BTR to Chicago on UAL will run around $1,300 per person. So it would make sense that they spent over $6,000 on airfare.
I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I'm pretty sure there are some ethics rules/laws that would prevent government employees from flying first class on tax payers dime.

I hate elected officials. Hopefully one day people will wake up and realize they are robbing us blind.

Do they have to follow state travel regulations? They're not a state agency, right?
I'd assume they work for the state but I could be way off. That would explain why they went with the $70 per diem though

Some of those conferences have a registration fee of $1,000 or more

That's his cost on one meal.. $70 X 4 = $280.

I wonder what they actually at this conference.

Can or will WBRZ release the receipts that they received? I'd be interested in seeing what the $12,000 covered.

I actually doubt any of the spending is nefarious. It's the idea that it's okay to spend $12k of your supposed tight budget to jet set to Chicago for a week.

This kind of issue took down Col. Mike Edmondson, a decorated 30 year servant. What willl it do to Dytarsha? Nothing. The same band of retards (Marcelle, James, Barrow, etc.) willl come out and say that the white people are targeting Dytarsha because she has a multi-million dollar budget and they are trying to bring the black woman down. Mark my word.
Nothing will happen to Dytarsha. She could get caught robbing a bank and the dummies would say she did it for the seniors and it's not a big deal. The new Baton Rouge...

Even if that's the case of a $1,000 registration, then it should have been a no brainer to not attend that conference.
Posted on 5/16/17 at 8:32 pm to CuseTiger
The article says they had no receipts to turn over. Thats interesting.

Reminiscent of a past post on Grambling.
"There was no accounting to be done at Grambling because no books are kept at Grambling."

Not interesting. Totally expected
Posted on 5/16/17 at 8:37 pm to PorkChops
Eh you typically don't turn in receipts for per diem
Posted on 5/16/17 at 8:40 pm to CuseTiger
Yeah there's no way they should have attended. Any mention of what conference it was?
