I think older generations than boomers do this but obviously they are dying off. My dad fished it out. I don’t.

I fish mine through my boxers. Seems like a pain to unbuckle and flop it over the top every time you gotta go wee.

Nah. It's real easy. Just undo your buckle, unbutton, let your pants and underwear hit the floor and start pissing away. Gives you two free hands this way.
