There has been a couple of times he was out with friends and they got a Jeep stuck or got stuck in traffic and didn’t make curfew...Life360 let’s us find him right away instead of sitting around helpless and worried. Also, a big fear is teenage phone usage while driving...the app lets us monitor that

So wait, you didn't install technology capable of tracking your daughter's every move until after she began what is supposed to be the time in her life where she learns independence?

Independence? While somebody else pays all her bills? That’s not independence, that’s pretending to be independent.

We honestly never look at it unless we’re suspicious of something or he doesn’t answer his phone.

Can't recommend this app enough. Crash detection, also. Well worth the subscription.

I will add to the endorsement of Life360. I am actually checking it throughout the morning since one of my kids is driving to the Baseball semi-finals today in Sulphur.

My wife and kids use this app..I just use Find Friends to check in on the kids from time to time, or when I need to know where they are.

My wife tracks them with Life360..I dont.

I use find my friends that's on our iphones for our dtr. When she started driving, she'd forget to text when she got places so that way I could see if she'd arrived without texting her o rembarrassing her. Now I use it from time to time to see when she's on her way home from work so I can judge dinner prep. Silly things like that but I do not track her every move. More often than not my hsuband will attempt to wake me up late at night when she's out and ask where she is.

Not that I am aware of or consented to. Ask my wife.

It would be impossible for my 12 yr old to lose his phone, he’s ALWAYS staring at it.

I just gave my first child a cell phone. Does anyone on here use a family tracker app? I would like to use one for his safety. Any recommendations?

I have an Android and she's on an Iphone.
I use the xFI Locator app(let her enter the apple credentials for privacy)
Works Very Well for a Free App.

I have a toddler. I may change my mind down the road, but I plan on trying to give him the same freedom I had growing up. My parents didn’t track me and neither did any of my ancestors, and we made it this far. If I had a girl my opinion may be different.

I should clarify I don't track her with the app. I use it to find her fricking phone for HER when she loses it. It can show us what room it's in within a house.

She's otherwise a perfect child.
