Our current world is a little different from the one we and our parents grew up in. To each his own though

True, but think of all the easy plagiarism you missed out on.

I'm so thankful this technology is available today.... and even more thankful it wasn't when I was a kid.

Exactly. Albita is being a little self righteous. The daughter could easily buy her own phone and service if she wanted to show her complete independence. Also the comment included that the daughter shares her location with his wife like the daughter was a part of process. I can see how for the daughter/father relationship it would be easier to share with the mom than father. I can also see how the daughter might want to give someone the ability to check her location quickly when needed.

Life360 free version is pretty good. Their paid version is even better.

I use life 360, works great

Life360 for free. Familywall also has this ability, but you have to pay for that particular part of it. The rest is free.
Family wall is great for making shopping lists, to-do lists, chores, calendar events, home maintenance lists, etc and sharing them with family or assigning chores to a particular person. If you want it all rolled into one and dont mind the fee I'd go with family wall.
I'm cheap though, we just use both.

The parents on here aren't going to like this, but I saw on the news that apparently kids are downloading apps that are able to fake locations. So your kid may mot be where your app says they are

I've used it for years. Works great.

Look, I understand parents can easily keep better track of their kids, but for those who track their every move. You can't to give them so type of freedom.
When I saw someone I know, wondering where her son was because he was a few minutes longer than she thought he should be, open an app and say "he is about to turn in the neighborhood" I was surprised (not sure why because of how this person is).
I asked her "you monitor him?" she was like "yes because he is a teenager and teenagers don't always go where they say they are going. I even monitor my husband".
For some reason I thought that was a little too much. It just seems like you have to give teenagers some room to grow without being able to see their every move.

Don’t use the Family Tracker app, but Find My Friends has come clutch several times when a group of us hit downtown in a different city

My 9 year old isn't allowed to have a cell phone, but we did get her a Gizmo Watch. I can track her with that.

Yeah, I don't want my kids walking in on me beating my dick off in the living room.

Lol. We dont use it to monitor and track each other so much as it's just really helpful at times.
