It's a real mind frick if you stop and think about how minuscule our planet is within the universe and how vast it really is.

Yeah 100 billion galaxies. I tried to read Hawkings last book that was dumbed down for civilians but it crushed me.
Great doc on PBS right now about Hubble and how it was a game changer.

What blows my mind is they say the universe is forever expanding. How can something expand if it’s never ending. If there’s no boundary, how can something expand?
Ask God. He supposedly made it.

We cant possibly understand it. It’s like explaining algebra to an earthworm. We don’t have the capacity. We think inside of boundaries, from a starting point to an ending point. We can’t comprehend infinity, it doesn’t compute.

I often wonder the same thing. How can something that is supposedly infinite continue to grow? Both cannot be true.

Don't worry your little head over all that non-sense, it's a just a Hollywood gag.

it would seem boundaries are prerequisite for growth to be possible.

It doesn't. It is finite.

The fact that we are operating in just a spec in time really puts things into perspective.
The speck of time and the distance between things is what hurts my head.
