I've never understood how some people would want to go out there.

I think your body freezes instantly due to the extreme cold

This is incorrect. Objects actually freeze slower in a vacuum because there are no particles to transfer heat away from your body. Freezing or cooling is just a loss of heat and that happens faster when particles are next to your body to carry heat away.

In space you basically have to radiate all of your heat away

Also, the universe isn't expanding: it's stretching.

In a way yes. I like to think of it like this....

Partially blow up a balloon. Draw a bunch of dots on the outside of the balloon. Those dots represent planets, stars, etc. Now blow up the balloon to twice it’s size.

Every object spreads away from other objects around it evenly. That’s how space is expanding. Not at the edges.

No, and neither do physicists who still struggle mightily at bringing general relativity and quantum mechanics together.

Only the dumb ones.

Gravity is the key.

Nah, a vacuum is actually a great insulator.

Yep. Most of the baws in this thread are holding proof of this in their hands right now.... their yeti tumblers

Black holes say hello. Well, that is if they even exist. I wouldn’t say they are dumb. They just cannot bring it together, not one of them. What we don’t know about the universe could fill the Grand Canyon thousands of times over. To say we understand it is pretty arrogant and embarrassing.

That’s what I said. Gravity is key.

If you have ever been to Ascension Parish, LA, Lowndes County AL, or northern Escambia County in FL then it is pretty close.
