If its an occasion where I'm wearing a jacket and tie then its absolutely yes, 100% of the time. Otherwise, sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.

If you're ever trying to frick a Yankee girl you definitely want to overplay the Old South schtick. They eat that shite up. A southern accent can "yes, ma'am" a Yankee girl out of her dress in no time.

Headwear, especially on men, looks terribly out of place to me indoors--distracting even. I was raised that way but a decade in the military has only reinforced it.

Completely different, unless you track dirt, dog shite, and whatever else you've walked through into my house with your hat. I like my floors cleaner than the bottom of your shoes.

By "no different" I meant "my house my rules." I don't require guests to take their shoes off and my floors are fine. As a matter of fact, I remember everyone's floors being just fine growing up before that silly shite took hold. And I don't walk around with mud and dogshit on my feet. I live in the suburbs (plenty of pavement) and work at Dundar Mifflin.

Having manners doesn't make you less manly, and it has nothing to do with how much money you have, it shows you were raised correctly
But what about taking your hat off has any functionality? Just because somebody said it was "correct manners" without any explanation makes it so?

that's pretty selfish to ask them to take it off. Also reinforces that its done for meaningless reasons.

There's no "functionality" to keeping your dick tucked away all day, but you do it cause society prefers it that way. Quit trying to outthink manners and customs and just get on board.
