I see a lot of chodes that don't even take their caps off at the table or indoors.
I could easily walk over and take their dates, wives, or mothers, but I'm married.

its outdated, and in the grand scheme of things, meaningless. Like wearing a ballcap indoors. Has no point or merit.

Always take your hat off at the table, but taking it off indoors is just retarded unless you're in the military, the boyscouts or the air force.

Yeah, right, if it's at the table.

It makes you look foolish and ill-bred.

I can see that, especially if you're just going into a store or whatever.

The table deal is another matter, IMO. It really makes the person look foolish.

I ask that guests and maintenance folks remove their headwear in my home or my parents'. If I were a badass I'd do it in restaurants and neutral locations like Tony Soprano and Don Draper did.

Because taking off the hat to reveal hat head would make one look classy.

Besides, is there a functional basis for taking a hat off while indoors? If not, then it's a pointless "rule."

I have. And the plumber. And the guys who redid the flooring in my kitchen. I'm not mean and brodie about it. It's no different than the hipsters who ask me to remove my shoes.

It shows that you aren't a field hand wading into your food so you can hurry up and get back out to digging the well or slopping the hogs or whatever.

Having manners doesn't make you less manly, and it has nothing to do with how much money you have, it shows you were raised correctly or that you have enough social grace to know right from wrong.

Your shoes can be dirty or scratch floors. The working mans hate isn't doing anything.

Just seems rather petty.
