Do you or your spouse determine the number of pets you have?

Or did you both agree??

I know in my case I’d have a farm if my husband let me.

This is 100% something that you both need to agree on.

I can’t have a bunch of animals in the house and that’s where my wife wants them. We’ve got 1 dog 1 cat 1kid. With the wife too that’s enough mess makers.

It was a mutual decision to get a dog. It was her decision not go get another one. She had never had to send one back to her maker before. That's a trauma my wife refuses to go through again.

That was me too. Now I’m glad I don’t have any more animals than I currently have.

Well, we wouldn't mind another one, but our dog has absolutely refused. She doesn't like other dogs.

If she owned a hotel, it would not be dog-friendly.

Except you should listen when you are told not to buy the horse

I’ve always had two Goldens. Losing one hurts like hell. Back in 2020 we lost one in May and the house seemed quiet since the boy who past was the younger of our two dogs. So we got a puppy in September of 2020z then about a year later the older girl passed away. The pain of losing them so close together was rough for me and the wife. So now we have just the puppy, who’s 4 now.

We both agreed that one dog was enough for us for now.

And he’s perfect. Don’t get me wrong, ll our Goldens have been awesome. But this one is special.

I think women tend to win out with these decisions

And never, I repeat- NEVER just casually stop by The Puppy Store to just “hold a puppy.”

This is where I'm at for the time being.

When I'm ready (if I'm ever?), I don't think it will be an argument or anything. However, I'm not ready. shite was very hard.

Yeah, even though I'm exclusively a Golden owner, I can't go near a dog shelter or pet rescue place. I'd come home with all of them.

Aww I am sorry to hear that LL

We wanted no more pets because it is too hard to travel with them. So the universe thought it would be hilarious to give us a travelling cat.

+1, LL ...

Madam, mine has traveled w/ me all over the country...
She's not crazy about flying, but loves the truck (heated rear seats) and the RV. She's not a fan of the sports car either.
