I have a number of friends that are Attorneys, I’m also friends with a number of judges, also a few that are retired.
So often needed for Property transactions. When building and flipping houses. Too many things require an attorney.
I’ve known a number of the local District Attorney’s and their families.

Not currently.
But had to hire 3 different lawyers during my life for 5 separate situations.
The only good decisions I make are lifting, BJJ and improving my moderately above avg cardio.

My group had a contract with a hospital. Hospital lawyer made some threats about breach of contract. We hired a lawyer to navigate the situation. One call from our lawyer reminding them how they caused the situation in question squashed all that.
I learned 2 things from the situation. Hospital lawyers are weakest of the legal profession but still you don’t want to take them on by yourself.

Actually, that’s not true at all. I’ve got plenty of lawyers in my orbit. One in particular for criminal defense that I’ve used. Remember walking into his office and being blown away by all the LSU paraphernalia. Come to find out that circa Nick Saban, this dude was the fixer for all the student athletes. Most folks—even those in the legal community—wouldn’t know his name, but that dude had the ability to make shite disappear.

Have only ever needed one for estate issues. That’s the extent of my personal needs, so far.
The Legal department at work is a different story. They’ve been worth their weight in gold as my team deals with vendors a lot. At least a few of which have turned out to be pieces of shite in the fullness of time.
