Well if you've never consulted a lawyer, being a VP executive, you're either ignorant, do nothing of consequence, or you're just lying. I work offshore as an hourly employee and my bosses boss has consulted personal attorneys many times. Even at his level, that's several lines below executive VP of the business unit.
Yes I have a personal lawyer. He handled a trust for me and Mrs Gee. He told me never talk to the cops, and if I needed him to call his personal cell. But it wouldn't be free.

I got 7 figures and live my life simple and out of the big cities where my front door is the GOA.... I don't care about lawyers. Ever. I do anything I want. Anything. Yes true. Its how you were raised, what you believe in and how you live your life. End of story. To each his own.

I have three lawyers I use for different things. One specializes in family law and has prepared wills, filed quit claim deeds, real estate contracts, and trusts for certain houses. Another attorney I’ve used just for copyright filings. A third attorney I’ve used for various issues with city codes for businesses. Depending on the issue I’d call one of the three.

I never said your life or anyone for that matter that includes attorney's is a bad thing. I was just answering the op. For me personally, I live my life the way I want too. It doesnt include lawyers. Some people view these type of people as blood sucking vampires as well as other people who provide services to others who are in the business to rape people's pocket book. Its a legalized racket imo. The bad ones mess it up for the honest ones. Sometimes the good gotta suffer for the bad. Ive literally never had to deal with an attorney except for purchasing purposes. Peace out bro.

I don't but I have a good relationship with a local lawyer that I can call if needed.
Now, if you have a firearm in your home or carry a firearm in your vehicle, it's a good idea to have a good relationship with a good LOCAL pro-second amendment lawyer and have their phone number saved on your cell phone.
You may have to use deadly force to protect your family and/or yourself.
This happens EVERYDAY.
Lots of folks don't think it can happen to them until it does.
Lots of variables are going to be in play and you will be so emotionally distressed that you will not be thinking clearly.
The assailant could be the nephew/son/friend... of the local police officer, sheriff, deputy, district attorney, judge...
They local authorities could be bleeding heart ill-liberals.
Also know that the assailant's family will be suing you because he was a 'good boy' and was getting his life back together.
Even if the authorities say this was justified self-defense, you will be sued.
I always recommend reading and watching Massad Ayoob's material.
