If you want to keep your faith, go to church consistently. You might say religiously.

The less time you spend listening to the message that church makes you a better person the sooner you are likely to realize that it’s not necessarily true.

The more time you spend in church, especially if you feel it’s a sacrifice, the more convinced you will be that you are a righteous person.

Doesn't seem like you're really getting anything out of going.

Is it the church you're going to or is it the attitude you're carrying in with you?

My advice is to visit some other churches and pray about it.

Yes
But then when I go I'm glad I did.
Luckily I have to get two kids ready to sing in the kids choir this morning so I don't have a choice

My family has been in church a lot in the last six weeks, with weddings, baptisms, and confirmations on top of the weekly Sunday Mass.

I was just lamenting to my wife that the more I go to church, the less I find myself invested in the Mass.

I believe you can go to church too much. My kids attend a Catholic school, so I’m always there.

I really want to get my family back to church, but an issue is that our weekends are extremely busy for the business, and church doing the week won't work due to homework and after school activities.

Besides not going to church to be with god, I am following his wishes throughout our everyday life so that helps.

I will get back eventually.

Can’t Catholics go on Saturday afternoon to ‘get it over with’ so they don’t have to waste their Sunday?

Years ago I was pretty lukewarm.

Scheduled mass to be home in time for the saints game.

I eventually was found myself 6 years ago in a situation where I was studying the mass itself and the reason it exist and the importance of going and the fact the mass itself is a prayer.

I basically haven't missed one yet. The kids enjoy going. I myself have come to enjoy it. I'll usually attend more than one a week.

Last year we began studying and attending the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM). Picked up a book on understanding it and a Latin to English Missal and how to read it.

It's actually brought myself and the family closer to the church. Celebrating the same mass the same way as the Saints and others have for the last 1800 years is cohesive. The same Gregorian style chants are sung. The High Mass is beautiful.

Don't be neutral. You are either walking towards him or away from him.

If this church isn't doing anything for your spirit, and it has become mundane, then change churches. Find a church that has both a Sunday morning and Sunday evening service. Attend the service of your choice each Sunday.

Jesus had no problem dying for you.

Never. It’s an honor and privilege being Catholic, and I look forward to listening to God’s word every Sunday.

It’s an hour a week. You waste more time on tigerdroppings.

Haven't in years.

Some of the shadiest people excuse their behavior because they go to "church.".

That's not what I'm looking for on Sunday mornings.

I'll have you know that my time on Tigerdroppings is never a waste. Well, usually not a waste. Sometimes people are really, really stupid on here

Skip the 1st 30 minutes and go for the next 30. Also, watch a video of a sermon. OR quit going. Those are all solutions.
