Yes. This morning for instance. I am smart enough to fear God, yet I sin. I am active in our Church, but not as I should be. No vote is coming to save us, Jesus is. I am a sinner who does not deserve the love of my God.

It’s actually a great church and so glad I went this morning. I mean it was the same as every other Sunday but now that I am leaving, I’m actually glad that I put my laziness aside and went in today

And I love Six Flags so it’s a great fit for me

Yes. Try going to a church for years only to find out your pastor fricks other dudes in public restrooms at a brec park. Oh, and your pastor is married to a woman and has three children.

I wake up every Sunday not wanting to go, so I don’t.

OP is your Church a cult? It seems to have the makings.

Can’t Catholics go on Saturday afternoon to ‘get it over with’ so they don’t have to waste their Sunday?

My dad didn't believe in this, even though it's perfectly fine to do so. So up at 5 am every Sunday to drive 10 minutes to church, get there an hour early and don't dare make one sound.

My wife and I went to church for years only because "that's what Catholics did". We made the agreement to stop going and our marriage is actually 200 times better. My father in law is at the church every day and he's miserable in his marriage.

It’s pretty easy if you don’t care about church

Did anyone do virtual services during the covid church closures?

That’s blasphemous.

Well, I think the Bible tells us to praise God.

Does it?

let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise

Sounds like more of a plea for freedom to praise God, rather than a mandate.

Did some man with an agenda who calls himself a preacher tell you differently?

Do you do everything that sounds remotely like a behavioral directive in the Bible, or do you use some discretion as to what seems more practical based on cause and effect relationships?

How would that be different from any other Church? Where would you draw the line between cults and perfectly fine religious organizations?

I go and look at the mountains in the backyard. Nothing built by man can compare.

Church is just a man made building with colorful windows.
I believe in God, I praise God, but I can do that anywhere. It doesn’t have to be in a certain building. It can be in on the lake while I’m fishing, or it can be in the comfort of my own home.
