I usually watch alone or just with my son. There are rules. No talking during play. only talking during commercials etc are about the game or game related. during half time food can be discussed and served. Never, ever walk between the TV and the viewer. These rules are understood and followed, or the violator will be ejected from the game viewing abode.

I prefer to watch games alone.

With the right like minded people. Last watch party I went to was great. About 12 people actually watching the game under a backyard gazebo. Women and kids stayed inside.
The time before that, it was vs Alabama, forgot what year, but it was going good until one of the women made them put the game on mute right at the end of halftime so everyone could watch her daughter dance to some songs for a performance she had coming up. That took up about half of the third quarter.
Then also my wife at the time threw a watch party at our house for the Alabama 9-6 game. Huge game. We watched under the carport. Around the end of the first quarter it became apparent most of the people only came for the food I spent all day cooking as they ate, talked a bit, and then left before halftime. By the end of the game, I was basically celebrating by myself. Wife had already went to bed.

I used to but if I'm not in the stands, I kind of like watching by myself or with my kids.

I don't really have a casual social relationship with LSU football or really sports I watch in general. I get some people do, but just not me. I much prefer watching games alone at home. I watched 2019 Bama home alone and had the best time ever.

I’ve enjoyed watching with the Houston folks but haven’t been in a few years. Need to check out the new spot. I was a little Woodrow’s a few times during the 2019 run. GREAT times.

I don't mind watching with a group, on two conditions:
1. The people in the room with the TV respect that the reason we are in the room is what's on the TV. If you want to talk about something else, do it during commercials or leave.
2. They aren't Rant level negative bitches who declare the game "over" in the first half because we just went down 10 and then had to punt. I don't need cheerleading, but just shut the frick up

My cousin had his engagement party for the bama game in 2023. Worst idea ever. There was a shite load of people and the handful of guys that were really trying to lock in had to deal with wives telling them they’re “not being social”. Then you combine that with lsu losing which put all the real fans in a bad mood and caused some to even leave early (myself). It sucked.
My now wife wanted to do ours for the bama game last year and I made her push it to the bye week.

Sounds like it’s a watch party for 60+

I prefer watching games at my own home that way I can yell and cuss all I want and no one has to listen to me

As I've gotten older, I would rather be out on the lake fishing since everyone else is inside watching the game.
Hell, I have trouble just keeping track of who is actually on the team now with all the transfers.

They do a bunch of events a year. Watch parties for all the games at a local bar and they have an awesome crawfish boil in the spring that the Boil House does. I'm not sure what bar they're doing this year but it was BLVD in the heights last year and Kirby Ice House in Memorial the year before. Kirby Ice House was dope AF because the Best Stop food truck was always there. Drift is cool too. They have a DJ, a ton of LSU fans and sometimes a drummer shows up to play along with the band and DJ. Its a really good time. The spring boil is about the best crawfish deal in town. Check out the website LSU Houston and follow them on facebook and insta for event updates.
ETA just checked they're doing BLVD on 20th again this year.

I'm with you. If I wanted to watch sweaty dudes in tights chase each other and play grab arse, I'd probably want to do it alone.

Bama and the Natty at woodrows were on fire that year. They had the entire parking lot turned into a tent it was so packed.

Yeah it was wild. It just kept getting bigger and yeah for bama it was a big arse tent.

I like a small group who actually watch the games to get hyped with when touchdowns are scored and big plays happen. I prefer that over by myself.

I will go to a sports bar to watch a game I'm not going to go to.
