No, but we manage to go through a roll of paper towels a day.

The good folks that make Bounty pick-a-size love us.

I mean I have kids too. Taught them how to cook, then clean up as they go so basically everything they cooked with is clean by the time they’re done and ready to eat. And 2 seconds to wash a plate. I just don’t get using the “I have have kids” excuse, it just comes off as I can’t parent them and teach them to clean up after themselves.

The amount of people with nasty arse old sponges is much higher than the people I'd deem "trashy" with paper plates. Blows my mind people don't boil and/or throw their sponges in the dishwasher if they don't replace in a regular basis. It's disgusting.

We used to and then figured out we’re running the DW every day anyway so we quit buying them and haven’t looked back.

We don’t eat Outback or Longhorn, but we do plate our takeout

I know you're trying to make a point, but yeah I typically do plate takeout. If I have a beer/coke/sprite, I typically pour it into a glass.

it’s like 3 for $5 at worst.

i’ll admit when i was a young bachelor i would wait until the sponges has a smell to them before tossing them. My wife has since corrected that problem haha.

I usually use these cheap plastic plates from Walmart most of the time. Throw them in the dishwasher when I’m done. I do go through a good amount of paper plates also.

Paper plates for when we order takeout.

If we cooked, we are eating on real plates. We are rich also, so we have a dishwasher which makes it easier.

Seriously, of we cooked the meal, we have to wash dishes anyway, so washing a few extra plates is nothing.

Disposable plates have their place at large gatherings and for other uses, but we use and wash dishes about 98% of the time. Washing dishes is not hard, either with a dishwasher or by hand.

If I'm cooking, I typically wash the pots and utensils as I cook. By the time I'm ready to eat, there is very little left to wash, other than the pots holding the food and our places and utensils.

Why the hell would anyone spend the time and money getting takeout from a place like outback or longhorn
