Why stay well-groomed and in shape if you don't care about getting some?
The point wasn't that you need to spend a lot. It was that your outfit as described sounded sloppy.

I only dress up for church, and even then it's business casual. I'm either in scrubs or shorts/jeans and an UA shirt. We make 7 figures.

I wear the common kaki’s, plaid shirt, and pull over or zipped vest when going out depending on the weather. At home, I’m all about elastic and old t-shirts. My net worth is around $3 million fwiw.

It's not sloppy. It's inexpensive. A fit dude will look better in a Walmart wardrobe than a slob will in Armani.

I’ve met a lot of TD people. I think some would be surprised how many actually have lucrative above average careers.
