Man, that 5 year old that died from leukemia is going to be real fricking confused when he gets to heaven and has a mortgage, a wife, and pubic hair.

Also, my grandfather never SAW 32-35 year old me and I never saw 32-35 year old him. We'd walk right past each other and never recognize each other.

The questions that bug me about the hypothetical afterlife...

Who determines housing assignments?...death is supposed to be a gift to get away from some people here...I don't want to be followed by a bunch of relatives I don't spend time with now. People I conscientiously avoid.

Will I still be able to kick people I don't want in my house...out of my house?

Does the afterlife also have entry level jobs that we have to start at all over again and reclimb the heavenly corporate ladder?

How do I get promoted over someone who has been kissing Jesus's arse for thousands of years before me? Is this a pyramid scheme?

Of course we would like for it to be true.

The first order question is if you believe in God and the afterlife (and that it is the heaven/hell premise)

The second order question is whether you end up in heaven or hell.

The third order question is whether your loved ones are in heaven or hell.

What if your loved one and you are in purgatory and he/she bumps up to Heaven while you just miss the cut?

Of course not. Only God can see everything.

he problem with this whole thing is that it assumes that atheists automatically go to hell (which doesn't exist either).
It doesn't assume. We have been told this by God, by Jesus, and by common sense. Why would anyone who hates God want to be where God is.

However, atheists go to hell bc they have chosen to pay for their sins themselves. There are only two ways to pay for sin: accept Jesus' death or spend an eternity being purged by fire.

Some of you people are either so jaded, parochial, or maybe just lack mental capacity to fathom anything that can't yet be proven. For most of human history, most humans believed in an afterlife, along with other beliefs that are now known to be ridiculous. This subject has been debatable and controversial throughout subjectively-recent history.
My theory...people believe if they, or someone living in the same 100 year period(of a 200K+year existence of humans) can't prove it, and it's easier to believe what you can't wrap your simple mind around, it must not be true.
But at 0-2, I still believe the saints have a decent shot at a super bowl run...so there's that. And I'm smart enough to know I'm not very smart

Nope. When you die that is it. Nothing exciting coming after unfortunately so better to live it up now with the one you are given

Can you 100% say this is true? If so, facts please.

no more than you can say the opposite without proof

Scripture is pretty clear that God wants to unite us with those we love.

The new Pope says atheists can go to heaven, it's your deeds not your belief that get you there. That's one less thing for this atheist to worry about.
