My wife passed away recently, my hope is to meet her again one day

My father passed away due to brain cancer when I was just a little boy. I want to talk to him again more than you could ever imagine. I want to tell him thank you for everything he ever did for me. I want him to see what I've done with my life and discuss it with him when my life is over.
As much as I want this all to happen, I still can't get past the fact that my dad died an agonizing, humiliating, and slow death. My father was a very good man. If God (or whoever controls the afterlife) is all knowing, powerful, and in control, he can't be all good. He can't be all good and pure, yet condemn good people to die untimely and horrible deaths. It's just impossible.

I pray that will happen. I would give anything to see my son again.

Of course not. God isn't real. Heaven isn't real. It's time to grow up

I would like to believe this is true, but I just don't know how likely it is. Logic tells me there is no afterlife, but I wouldn't mind being proven wrong and have this happen.

Do you believe you'll see your loved ones again in the afterlife?
I do. I was one of those people who was never sure. When I was diagnosed with end stage liver disease (non alcoholic)and it was uncertain whether I'd make it to the top of the transplant list in time, I had a lot of time to think. Mentally thinking about and "talking to" loved ones who have gone on definitely brought me clarity. Now, it's quite possible that was just my mind having conversations with itself. But it definitely changed my perspective.

I hope so, but that doesn't mean it's true. If not, it just makes time spent with loved ones that much more special

I do, it's a matter of my Faith.
I also know that all the faith in the world will not make the after-life true if it does not exist. And all the denial in the world will not make the after-life untrue if it does.
We will all find out one day - or just rot.
