It would be rational, in your case

I live in your camp but I would absolutely drive my car for 50 more years if it can handle it. I'm the anti car guy. I hate how short lived they are supposed to be.

Car purchases and the word practical should never be used together

I have silly likes, but I'm fortunate that cars isn't one. Very anti American of me, but I love not driving.

Ugh. I’d love a new truck and could certainly afford one, but there’s just something about paying $800/month for a truck note I can’t accept.

How much you spend on eating out, including coffees every week?

$0. We are two aspiring bodybuilders. Meal prep everything. We may go out to eat once a month.

I buy a bag of ground coffee from Costco and put a pot on to brew while I do cardio in the morning

Most predictions are this will last until Q1 of next year. So purchase accordingly.

Trump will do something else fricking stupid by then. He's clearly in early stages of dementia.

If someone is actually poor and barely scraping by, that's one thing.

But most people are blowing a ton of money on nonsense and can only talk about muh gas prices. When you look at the actual numbers, that really makes no sense.

I mean, ideally, I'd have a 90's ford or chevy single cab full size 4x4 and something like a ford focus ST, but there's too much other stuff I'd rather spend money on.

Gas prices are the most visible indicator for our everyday cost of living….by far. Gas price is posted in large numerals on virtually every street corner that we pass every day.

I like how people will wait in line at a crowded gas station bc it’s 5 cents cheaper. Congrats, you saved a dollar.

I have a 90's GMC 4x4, it's an extended cab though.

But yeah, people losing their shite over an extra dollar or two per fill up is kinda wild.

Holy cow your math sucks. an extra $1 per gallon is now only $1-2 extra per fill up. Some of you really are morons.

$1-2/gal since when? This last hike was 20 cents... in my area it went from 379 to 399.

20 cents... 10g at a time... yeah, two bucks.

I'm sorry fuel prices are pinching you. It must suck.
