Do kindergartners still dress up as pilgrims and Indians on Thanksgiving?

When I was a kid in the 70's, it was like the best day of the year. I always wanted to be an Indian because I got to beat on a drum.

Do they still do this, or is it now culturally verboten?

The history of indigenous people should be taught at an early age

We made construction paper feather headbands. I wonder what kind of shot a teacher would face these days if she had her students make something like that.

Our teachers made us make Tomahawks and scalps. It was so brutally insensitive.

Son came home, last week, with a paper headband and a feather sticking out of it, so yes.

They decide which of the 146 genders they want to be first, then decide on their pronouns and finally eat their tofu turkey during their parents' Friendsgiving celebration.

What do you think in today’s PC Climate?

You’re not allowed to call it sitting Indian style anymore. It’s Criss-Cross applesauce now

No.

All American history before 2008 is considered racist and isn't to be discussed

People talk about protecting and preserving cultures. When was the last time you saw a family of pilgrims out to eat?
