So you have music saved on a device? What year is this? Next your going to say you listen to 8 tracks.

If you have a 2025 it's 100% got bluetooth and most likely android auto you can pair with your phone. Highly doubt it will go with your ipod though unless you have an aux hookup.

I hate to say it man but you may have to step into more recent technology. At some point old shite is phased out.

$25 will get you a blue tooth hands free device that you can plug into a cigarette lighter (provided the new sled has one) for music and hands free phone calls.

Just use your Walkman while you drive or slap that 8-track into the player.

I have a new car. They moved the auxiliary input to the inside of the center armrest. Look there.

Also it would be very helpful to all of us if you could tell us the make/model you bought.

I feel your pain! I recently modded my 7th gen iPod with an SD card with the intent to start cleaning up and adding to my music library. Tried hooking my iPod up to my 2023 Jeep via 30 pin connector and my car won’t recognize it. Apparently, auto manufacturers have to license their OEM stereos for use with Apple devices on a device by device basis and many are not bothering with the old iPods because they are considered obsolete. Sucks.

Edit: to the uninitiated, there is actually a large market for modded iPods for audiophiles and/or people who want to actually own their music vs be nickel and dimed to death for streaming services. I have another 7th gen iPod I’m going to mod from a 160gb HD to a 512gb SD card. I’ve seen some with 1tb of storage.
