This will never happen. Too much money tied up in contracts on arms that don't want that many innings in the dead of off season. The only reason it works in March is pitchers are using this as Spring Training and building up to the start of the season. Front Offices hate it I bet.

People keep ignoring what movies have been telling us for decades. Lets give objects that think for themselves the keys to the kingdom and get surprised when things go bad.

This is the answer. My phone hasn't rang outside of the house on loud in a decade. Only situation is the rare occasion the wife goes to work before me and I turn it on loud while I'm sleeping in case there is a problem.

But in public it is going to my watch or my phone stays on silent and I'll get it it when I get to it.

Not happening in high school anytime soon. It’s a financial issue. Same reason HS can’t put coach to player on the pitcher. Seen as unfair financial advantage.

This isn't a job. You don't to quit and look for something better. It is about representing your school and playing for your friends you grew up with. Not "This is hard. I need to find something easier". That is all you want. An easier path instead of teaching your kid that sometimes you have to wait and earn you spot in life. Your kids are going to be entitled assholes.

This is why great high school coaches are quitting in droves. Parents are running it. So you end up with bad humans/coaches and parents feel even more entitled.

No one is saying you can't transfer. You just have to sit out of athletics for a year. To protect the integrity of the sport. It isn't complicated.

You are missing the whole concept of high school sports. It is a group of kids who grew up together to represent a community to compete against other schools/communities. It isn't about what is best of each individual kid. That is what summer ball is for. There has to be integrity in the sport. Kids not transferring keeps that integrity. Fair competition between schools. That is what high school sports represents. Not buying players and going where you can play because you weren't good enough at the school you grew up at.

If a parent has to change jobs and they up and move then by all means. That is part of life. But not just "I don't like it here, let me go somewhere else". That isn't what high school sports is or ever has been.
