So you dated one girl your entire life, got a divorce, and are now looking to marry the only other person you've seriously dated? Great call. When you get your third serious girlfriend after your second divorce, please come back and reread this thread.

If you are happy to be out of it, she is happier.

If getting divorced is the highlight of your entire life, what does it say about you and your life? So so Sad!

One marriage failed because you changed as people over time. What makes you think this won't happen again? You've still got more than half your life left.

When you get a little wiser you'll realize how you were the culprit. A good husband never has a wife that loses self esteem.

I dated mine in college for two years and was married to her for 27. Been divorced from her for the last seven. Only in the last couple of years have I gotten back on the dating scene. I had one I was tempted but common sense got the better of me. I would never say never, but I don't see another marriage for me in this lifetime. I enjoy the companionship, but I also enjoy my freedom.

I, Austin Cajun, take you, my high school sweet heart and mother of my children, to be my lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until I think I deserve better.

The "freedom" part isn't even why I wouldn't marry again. I most likely would find another woman that I'd want to be with til the end of my days. It's not necessary to make it contractual though.

All of my former S/O's have been the opposite. They probably outgrew me. Women may be attracted to fun and adventure but in the end most prefer financial security. All of my S/O's were awesome, they just change over time.

If your's lost motivation with you, maybe you should do a little soul searching.
