Clearly the op's wife is severey depressed. Cant just say get over it. Not saying she needs meds either. First she has to accept that fact which can be difficult.

The "freedom" part isn't even why I wouldn't marry again. I most likely would find another woman that I'd want to be with til the end of my days. It's not necessary to make it contractual though.

Same here. There might be a special person out there somewhere. However, after being married for 27 years, I am enjoying doing what I want without having to explain my self or ask permission (which I am not too fond of). No, even if I did find that person, I would not want to enter into another "legally binding contract". I got lucky on getting out of the last one with most of my assets. No need to push my luck.

Ditto that.

when did 35 y/o's start thinking that they are still 21?

It's a prelude to the middle age panic they will be undergoing about ten or so years later. It really fricks with their head bad when they start losing their physical allure. They really try to milk everything out that they can because they are scared they won't have anything left to offer when the ride is over.

What gets me is how the hell some of them are able to afford traveling abroad to numerous places. I suspect a lot of it is just dreaming. Anyway you look at it though, it still hints "high maintenance".

Without a doubt.
And if the OP gave a shite about his wife or marriage, he would've gotten her help, no matter what it took.

When you go into one of these things, you need to get the best lawyer you can afford and maintain a killer instinct throughout it.

I had a lawyer who had on previous occasion even gotten husbands alimony from their wives. I probably kept about 90% of my stuff. He was worth it.

Indeed. Went out with one girl who had been married five times and in numerous relationships. The pussy was good, but I didn't want what was attached to it. Four of the marriages ended in divorce, and the last one her husband blew his brains out.

We parted company.
