There absolutely has to be more to this story. First off, there's zero chance this player couldn't tell that this was a dude. None. So on the second go round, something must have happened (the dude threatened to blackmail him or something) that made this player snap and beat him to death. Plus aren't an inordinate amount of black men "down low gay" or whatever?

Obviously, I don’t have stats to back this up but I’ve always heard that the reason for this is that the black community hasn’t accepted homosexuality to the extent that the white community so there are a lot more ‘in the closet’ than in the white community. So the answer to your question is probably yes, but not that homosexuality is more pervasive in black men, just more likely to hide it.
This could possibly explain why this VT player was over the top shaken by the first encounter. All of us straight men would be upset to find out we let a dude give us a BJ, but a black man in a very Alpha rich environment like a football player would be especially shamed and angry.
