If the ransom was real, why the frick did you call the police instead of going take out 118k when John was supposedly a millionaire

but how do you explain the foreign male DNA(semen) that was found on her clothes?
It was touch DNA that could’ve even been from someone at the underwear factory (I believe they were new). It wasn’t a large amount of DNA, and it wasn’t semen.

The ransom note was written at the scene using paper and pen found in the home. What kidnapper 1) shows up without a prepared note? 2) leaves the body of the victim behind? Thus, the note was a ruse as there was never an an attempted kidnapping. Once this fact is accepted, the question becomes, why stage a kidnapping at all unless to interject the possibility of someone else being in the home other than the family. The note was a crude attempt to deflect from the home’s occupants one of whom was the killer. My money has always been on Patsy with John complicit in the coverup. Could have been Burke for sure. Just seems a huge risk to go through staging the kidnapping only to rely upon a 9 year old to stick to the story.

When did Keege start looking like a Grandma

Were John and Patsy ever drug-tested or anything? They had been at a Christmas party. If one or both of them had been drunk or high, and Burke accidentally killed her, it might explain why the coverup was so sloppy, the crime scene was such a mess, and they were more interested in talking to the media than investigators.
It's possible they really didn't know what had happened (other than their child was obviously dead), and they didn't want to appear negligent.

I absolutely think Burke clubbed her in a rage and unfortunately hit her just right.

Definitely was a family member. Just not sure which one.

I know nothing about this case, never took an interest.
What is the best Netflix/Prime documentary on the case?

I guess the half brother thinks they can still find the killer.

This case can be solved."

Why Patsy? As I said, I believe the killer was one of the three occupants. That’s the only thing I think makes sense due to the apparent contrivance of the attempted kidnapping. I just never got the vibe it was John. Burke could have cracked at any point and couldn’t have been relied upon (I know he was in large part shielded by the family from questions. I just don’t think they could have known in the early morning hours this was going to be something they would be so successful with). Setting all else aside that leaves Patsy. Also, though experts differ on the handwriting on the note, it sure the hell looks like her writing to me.
I doubt it was premeditated murder. Probably a fit of rage due to chronic bedwetting - at least that’s one theory. An angry shove and an unfortunate tumble leads to a head injury. At this point Patsy and John devise the kidnapping ploy - again this simply adds the possibility someone else was involved, an outsider.

Bonita papers has the best information I've read and points to Burke as the killer and Patsy writing the demand letter.
