Good timeline. Also: if you are looking for your baby girl. You don't check anyone's room in the dark.

You crank on that boys light and wake him up and ask if he knew where JonBenet was. You crank on every light.

He may not have been taken away due to criminal charges but he would not have been allowed to just stay at home like nothing happened. He would have been put in a mental facility so they would still have lost him plus I agree the public knowledge of Burke being guilty would have kept him from have a life in the world.

IIRC: after it happened I remember hearing for a few years in the news that the local PD was shoddy and not prepared and sloppy with the evidence. Was her anus even examined?

Not every body has CSI in their hometown like we see on TV. 30 years ago they surely missed something.

The father finding her and carrying her body up from the basement to the cops is very strange. It disrupted and tainted the crime scene.

And what if her neck was broken you never pick someone up like that.

Burke having that constant half grin in the video is creepy.

The family and the cops waited, but no call came. Some time after the ransom call window, the cops asked the Ramsey's to check the house again for anything that was missing or out of place that they could use as evidence.

John and a friend immediately went to investigate the basement after the cops asked them to scan the house. A few minutes later, John came up the stairs carrying the body of JonBenét. He had found her in a backroom in the basement.

Why didn't the cops go check the house? They'd have found her when they first checked the home rather than take the word of the parents. They should've checked the entire house independently and again with the parents later.

That was after he searched the basement by himmself and not finding her. His reason was he didn't open that door when he looked. What dad would not check every inch of that house? Was it because he was panicked or because he wanted to make sure he wasnt the one that found her.
I still cant believe it was the police that told John and Fleece to go through the house searching again because by that time just the kidnapping would have made the house a crime zone and the police should have made a sweep.

The police said thay John was anxious so they told Fleece to go get John and search again to give him something to do. This shows how inept the police were at handling this case. These police didn't normally see crime like this and didn't have the expertise to handle. They should have done exactly what the Pike County ( Ohio) police did with the Rhoden family murders and that was to lock it down and call in the state police and fbi.

Cops should've swept the house by themselves.

In a series for a school project called “My Time Line,” two of JonBenét’s drawings show a smiling yellow-haired child in a bright pink dress. But in another picture, one stick figure has multiple limbs and no mouth! Experts believe the mouthless character could be someone trying to silence JonBenét, with the numerous lines for legs being an indication of aggression, frustration or other anxiety pertaining to that particular person.

In another shocking self-portrait, JonBenét depicted herself wearing a T-shirt, no pants and a partially erased circular ring around her legs. “The line that encircles her bottom half could be a barrier of protection to stop anything from penetrating her,” said renowned forensic psychiatrist Dr. Carole Lieberman, adding that, more literally, the ring “could represent her panties.”

It’s a hula hoop. Talk about chasing the rabbit.

Apparently the cops did a sweep & put crime scene tape around the outside of the house and left with one cop there with no experience. She said John was fidgety so she asked them to do another sweep of the house.

Something is very strange all around. If there was a room in the basement with the mothers painting supplies, (paint brush stick broke off that penetrated JonBenet) and tablet and pen used to write the ransom note. It had a door-- not some creepy hidden fruit cellar. Before the cops were called the parents didn't check this full basement room?

And then cops didn't open a door in a basement room searching for JonBenet either?

This is what so called experts said. I am not saying I think they are correct; but no more correct then you guessing it is a hulu hoop.

Any expert that thinks a 5 year old girl who does pageants would draw a ring around her thighs to “protect her from penetration” instead of a hula hoop is no expert at all.

I probably have several drawings of myself when I was under 6 that showed me using a hula hoop and they all probably look exactly the same as her. I wasn’t diddled as a child, but I was much better at using a hula hoop around my thighs than my hips so that’s where I drew it.

The brother or jonbenet probably shoved the paintbrush in her vagina. Kids are weird. Some dig up their noses or wet the bed. Others stick things up holes and bash their sisters in the head with a flashlight.

The brother did it and the parents helped cover it up. Competent police would have solved this before the end of the year back then. It was a white collar area, they had no idea what they were doing.

The brother did it. Jealous of attention and acted out. She ate his pineapple. He grabbed the flashlight and hit her. Prob previously acted out, consistent with known issues of hitting and poop in food, by molesting her. Clear acts of aggression and demonstrating power over her.

Mom found her while dad was in the shower or just out. She screams. He runs out, drops robe (hence the dropped rope found in the bath/bedroom) amd they freak. They think she is dead and create the crime scene /kidnap scenario. Mom actually strangles her with the ligature. Dad had more strength. If he had done it there would have been more trauma to the vertebra /spine.

This was shocking to me. There is no way I could have did that. Not to mention didn’t he flick on the lights and knew it was her without even checking? What if she was alive?

I saw the 20/20 episode. I got the impression she died in the hobby room by the paintbrushes and note tablet of her ransom note on a desk. Others saying wine cellar?
