Desiree Charbonnet had a reputation as being shady when it comes to corruption, but she would have been a better representative of the city.
Years ago, with my job, I had contact with Desiree and I can say she is a classy, well groomed, attractive woman who doesn't speak with the ghetto jive.
But even though she is considered black, she has too much white in her to be supported by a lot of the natives.

Actually she lost a lot of support from the uptown money and a lot of whiteys because Sidney Torres did not back her.
