No one in this thread realizes the time it takes for orally ingested substances to reach the bloodstream.

Which is why I didn't say that.

I posted "ng". So you're talking to the wrong person I guess?

Never said you were wrong, just what I gleaned from your post of the lab report

He was cuffed and in the unit. If they don't take him out its not a news story

Lane asked: “should we roll him on his side?” Chauvin replied: “No, staying put where we got him.”

Whatever the drug and stress induce mania Floyd put himself in is called there are different schools of thought on the best position to place or restrain the person until medical help arrives. Position of Floyd was one of those. It was in the written handbook still.

The coroner testified against this very possibility at trial. There was no damage to Floyd’s throat.
You mean the medical examiner hired by the defense? Because every other expert testified that it was homicide caused by asphyxiation.

George Floyd - The face of a culture.

Even if you think It was 2nd degree murder who would want to claim Floyd as being every black man. That seems racist, but 80% or more blacks supported him being the face of their culture and claimed he was just like them.

I think they knew each other as well (worked at the same club or something). I thought the whole thing was fishy from the get go ... almost like a set up to make Floyd out to be a martyr.

quote:

Asphyxia or asphyxiation is a condition of deficient supply of oxygen to the body which arises from abnormal breathing.

…Situations that can cause asphyxia include but are not limited to: airway obstruction, the constriction or obstruction of airways, such as from asthma, laryngospasm, or simple blockage from the presence of foreign materials; from being in environments where oxygen is not readily accessible: such as underwater, in a low oxygen atmosphere, or in a vacuum; environments where sufficiently oxygenated air is present, but cannot be adequately breathed because of air contamination such as excessive smoke.

Other causes of oxygen deficiency include but are not limited to:

Acute respiratory distress syndrome

Carbon monoxide inhalation, such as that from a car exhaust and the smoke produced by a lit cigarette: carbon monoxide has a higher affinity than oxygen to the hemoglobin in the blood's red blood corpuscles, bonding with it tenaciously, and, in the process, displacing oxygen and preventing the blood from transporting oxygen around the body

Contact with certain chemicals, including pulmonary agents (such as phosgene) and blood agents (such as hydrogen cyanide)

Drowning

Drug overdose

Exposure to extreme low pressure or vacuum from spacesuit damage (see space exposure)

Hanging, whether suspension or short drop hanging

Self-induced hypocapnia by hyperventilation, as in shallow water or deep water blackout and the choking game
Inert gas asphyxiation
Congenital central hypoventilation syndrome, or primary alveolar hypoventilation, a disorder of the autonomic nervous system in which a patient must consciously breathe; although it is often said that people with this disease will die if they fall asleep, this is not usually the case.

Respiratory diseases

Sleep apnea

A seizure which stops breathing activity

Strangling

Breaking the wind pipe

Prolonged exposure to chlorine gas

The same posters who are arguing for Chauvin now have been in his corner since the video came out. Many on both sides made up their mind in the beginning and will be unmoved. What normally helps in when a neutral arbitrator weighs in (the court, which found him guilty) but alas unsurprisingly it’s yet another vast conspiracy to one side who only accepts results when it’s in their rooting interests

He's got grounds for many more appeals. He just filed for another one last week based solely on the autopsy stuff. His lawyer seems to be slow rolling the appeal stuff instead of putting it all in one basket. I don't know if this is a good technique or bad technique, but Chauvin's appeals aren't over.

It’s a terrible strategy. Chauvin’s attorneys should have raised everything in the first appeal. “[O]nce a direct appeal has been taken, all claims that were raised in the direct appeal and all claims that were known or should have been known but were not raised will not be considered upon a subsequent petition for postconviction relief.” Munt v. State, 880 N.W.2d 379, 382 (Minn. 2016). There are a couple exceptions to that, but they’re very difficult to meet. He’s almost certainly SOL.

The craziest part is the other officer who shot the Australian lady basically straight up, got less time in the end because he had some similar charges thrown out. Minnesota didn’t grant chauvin the same appeals.

TOT Youtube

I am not saying he is right, but this dude.. The Officer Tatum on youtube breaks it down and pretty much came to the conclusion that the drugs in his system is what likely caused him to not be able to breath in that situation, but Chauvin didn't go by procedure, but shouldn't be held responsible for his death.

Ah sweet, a boomer reference of some sort.

I’m just tired of living in a racist country where Black guys like George and Trayvon are straight up murdered by white guys that hide behind a badge and uniform. Don’t think too hard about it. It really is that simple.

Except I am pretty sure he had 11ng (nanograms) not 11mg, but lets not let details get in the way.
quote:

11 ng is 0.000011 mg just wanted to clarify this since the OP and others in this thread don't seem to care about this small detail

He had 11 ng/ml, per OP’s link. Much different than what you’re saying, too.

Per a chief medical examiner for the state of Delaware:

quote:

In the vast majority of cases, any Fentanyl concentration >3 ng/ml in an individual with no other anatomic, (physical / traumatic), natural disease (including endocrine disease) or infectious etiology to cause death the death will be attributed to Fentanyl (and other drugs detected).

I for one don't want to live in an all-queer country. No thanks. I like womens.
