Deputy misinterprets the sound of an acorn striking the patrol vehicle as a gunshot

and proceeds to mag dump into the rear of the vehicle while the suspect is inside.

No injuries were reported, and subsequent investigations judged Hernandez's response as not objectively reasonable, leading to his resignation, while Roberts was exonerated.

Damn, just watched that on Donut's raw videos. It's weird as hell how his mind convinced him into thinking he was actually shot. Crawling around and saying he's okay but also feels weird. Just fricked up all around.

So this Mensa candidate puts the suspect in his vehicle, apparently without searching him for a weapon (because why else would he believe the suspect was shooting at him?), hears what he believes to be gunfire coming from his patrol car, and then proceeds to shoot up his own patrol car? And the other fricktard cop joins in? Did they also arrest the offending acorn?

I got caught in a hail storm while exiting I-10 to Airline over Carrollton, when the first hail chunk hit my truck, I though someone shot at me, then the second one hit and I thought they were still shooting. Then I saw the third one hit and realized it was hailing.
