I believe this. Unfortunately, it seems like they are in the vast minority.
Fatherless homes is the real culprit. This just represents a much higher percentage of black kids than anyone else because this is a culture that glorifies violence against women (songs like Smack My Bitch Up, for example) and shames kids who do well academically for being "too white." It's sad and it's self-destructive but it is never going to change.

The phrase "Smack my bitch up" translates to: "Request another to inject you with Heroin or get you high. The phrase does not mean to hit your girlfriend, nor does it advocate violence toward women as it literally implies. "Bitch" being slang for the main vein running down your arm in which heroin is usually injected.

to be fair, the only lyrics in the song, "change my pitch up, smack my bitch up" are sampled from "give the drummer some" by ultramagnetic mcs...but i don't know if he was aware of that
