IWeatherNet Rainfall totals map
Select the 24 hour period to see just how bad the rain has been so far in the Zachary/Central/Pride areas.
Wow, I looked up at Zachary, there's spots along the parish line that got over 11 inches.
One of my brothers got 3.8, over off Jefferson. Other one got 5.14 out in DS.
It's looking nasty outside, sky hasn't opened up again yet.

We just started a project in bay port right up the road from Seabrook. Hoping not too much wind with the site, we just had material sent there for the project.

Perhaps Duke or rds can explain why most of the heavy rain bands are expected to be on the NW side of the system despite SW shear. Intuitively you’d think SW shear blows things to the NE. Only thing I can imagine is that the SW shear acts as a roadblock when the convection tries to wrap around counterclockwise, so it stacks up to the NW and creates a void of convection that can’t make it back to the east side.
One of the main guys on storm cast said they have an ull to the east that could be causing it

feels like a fricking sauna in baton rouge. Nothing beautiful about it. It is oddly very calm though.
