That is over the top, but Cat 3 in the central GOM is in the cards. How much strength it loses on approach to the N gulf is the big question.
A Cat 3 in the central GOM seems to be the base prediction, at this point.

Given your penchant for tropical weather, would you want it any other way?

The intensity forecasts continue to climb too especially since it's rapidly strengthening. The big question is how much - if any - it weakens by the time it nears landfall.

Welp, Nature has a funny way of sending you signs sometimes...
In your case it could be good (aka "marriage strong enough to survive major storms") or could be bad (aka your life is about to get wrecked). Still time to change your mind!

I don’t really know if It’s nonsense or not! I said he “seemed” like an alarmist. I do not know if he is or not.
It made me uncomfortable.
There are certainly enough intelligent weather folks here counter his projection or otherwise give it credence.

Well, we had a big wedding planned and paid for, but covid made us push it back til May. We wanted to still get parried on our originally planned date so we decided on this.
I told her rain is good luck, so a hurricane must be insanely good luck.

Next Gamma recon has been tasked to Delta. So there won't be a long break in recon for Delta.
