I'm in the Mandeville area too. Have to imagine it won't follow that current path for 4 days straight.

Could be as bad as Laura will be lucky for it not to be.

are you saying it's going to move OUTSIDE the cone?
This hurricane WILL stay INSIDE the cone.

All hurricanes stay inside the cone cause the cone always moves.
(Am I doing this right?)

He mentioned that it could be the strength of Laura and then I turned him off since I don’t see much to support that on local news, on this site or otherwise.

That is over the top, but Cat 3 in the central GOM is in the cards.
How much strength it loses on approach to the N gulf is the big question.

What do the conditions need to be for the New Orleans airport to cancel outgoing flights? I had one for seven am Friday morning that I just switched to Thursday leaving at 2:30 to Maryland.
Posted on 10/5/20 at 3:19 pm to amgslg
thursday during the day should be fine, earlier in the day especially
Posted on 10/5/20 at 3:20 pm to amgslg
You can go by the frequency of Lootie posts. If you start seeing one per page, flight may be canceled.
