Is Cameron Parish West of Laffy?

Duke, you just had a kid, I have a small one.
Would you prep to leave BR?
Hey man, I'm not Duke, but I have a 6-week old. We live in Gonzales. I have a reservation in Houston. There's no question in my mind when it comes to the safety of my family. I'd rather be out $150 cancellation fee, than to be too late evacuating for a large storm.

Another borderline cat 5 hitting Lake Charles would officially be some shite.

I'd expect to be without power for at least a few days in BR and possibly more than a week in spots. I wouldn't stay for that with my little one without access to a generator.
For BR, unless you live in the middle of a forest with trees that love to fall down with a stout wind it's not like this would be life threatening in a good house. It's the power outages that would be a bitch with a small child.
I'd be leaving.
I'm still considering leaving NOLA, even with the current trends on models and I think the odds of bad wind are lower.

It’s an extremely impressive hurricane on satellite, but it’s so weird not to see a defined eye for a hurricane that is that strong.

I would leave NOLA with a newborn.
Granted my plan is always to go to BR and that might not be smart at this time.

I would leave if I had a newborn too. Don't blame you. Often the impacts aren't as bad initially but it's the misery in the wake of when the storm that passes that usually sucks.

As a mom of three...fricking leave with a newborn. Anything that disrupts their sleep at this point aint worth it.

This certainly seems like the appropriate place for this post.
